Best BBQ in Valley Center

Been waiting to try this place and it didn't disappoint! Its a focused menu on ribs and pulled pork with sides that compliment perfectly the smoked meats. We had pulled pork & pork ribs which come in large delicous portions with extra BBQ sauce & sides like Mac & Cheese, beans, & corn bread which wasn't too sweet and perfectly moist. You order at food truck outside then they bring you the meal inside. The restaurant has Western vintage theme with plenty of seating and windows/airy light feeling. Old vintage pin ball machine and fun feel. Loved it & will be back

What a great find! Delicious ... friendly.. great! We got the pulled pork and some hit links with beans and Mac. All delicious.. Maybe ask for extra sauce....its amazing!!! Definitely will be back when we come back in the neighborhood

Skinny Jake’s serves incredibly delicious food that doesn’t cut corners! We had pulled pork with Mac & cheese and cornbread, and pork ribs with baked beans and cornbread. The meats were excellent, clearly prepared with expertise! The ribs were brimming with complex, smoky flavors and cooked to perfection. My friend said the Mac & cheese were the best she’s ever had, and clearly homemade with TLC. We couldn’t believe the cornbread! Absolutely delicious, creamy, sweet, with actual moist corn kernels in it, almost a ‘spoon bread’ consistency. Clearly made from scratch with love. As beautiful to look at as it was to eat! It was inhaled quickly. And the baked beans were superb! I couldn’t stop eating them even before getting into my ribs. Lots of flavorful bacon chunks, and just perfectly seasoned. The seating area is very comfortable and nicely decorated but not overdone. The long tables are intended to encourage a country community feel and good, neighborly discussion. A very homey atmosphere. Brian and Jake are obviously dedicated to providing the very best ‘down-home’ eating experience for their customers. We just love this place and will definitely be back for more of their delicious food offerings! And no… I wasn’t paid to write this! Skinny Jake’s Smokehouse deserves the highest compliments I can muster!
